Most founders don't decide to get support. They reach a point where they can't keep going without it. By then they're tired, behind and handing over work in a rush, which is the hardest time to do it well.
These are the five signs we see most often in the weeks before someone books a call with us. If two or more sound familiar, it's worth starting the conversation now.
1. Your evenings belong to your inbox
You do client work during the day and answer email at night. It feels productive, but it means your best hours go to delivery and your tired hours go to everything that keeps the business running.
2. There's a list you keep meaning to get to
Updating the website. Following up with old leads. Writing the onboarding guide. Every week it rolls over. Those jobs rarely need you, but nobody else is there to do them.
3. Things wait for you before they can move
Invoices sit unsent until you have a moment. Meetings aren't booked because you haven't replied. Your team asks the same questions because the answers live in your head. When work keeps stopping at your desk, you've become the slowest part of your own business.
4. You've said no to good work
A promising client, a speaking slot, a partnership. You turned it down, not because it wasn't right, but because you couldn't see where the time would come from.
5. You can't take a week off
Not because clients would leave, but because everything would pile up while you were gone and take two weeks to clear when you got back.
Where to start
Take a sheet of paper and draw two columns. On the left, write everything you did last week. On the right, mark the tasks that genuinely needed your judgement, your relationships or your expertise.
Everything not marked is a candidate to hand over. For most founders it's more than half the list. Start with the tasks that repeat every week, like email, scheduling and invoicing, because those give you time back fastest.
